Still sick

I just realized that I haven't written anything on my blog in awhile and now that I'm home sick I thought that it would be a perfect oppurtunity. Nothing really interesting has happened since the last post.
Thanksgiving - Derek and I had a wonderful dinner at Ginny's condo. Everything was so wonderful. I did miss my family though. I think the holidays that I don't spend with my family are so hard because I miss the loud noise and the kids running around. It seems so crazy while it's going on but I still miss it when I'm not there. LOL.
Christmas - Derek and I went to NJ for a whole 5 days. It was amazing to be with my family and friends for such a long time. We headed down on Saturday and didn't come back until Wednesday. We met up with friends that we hadn't seen in awhile. We had a small get together at Chris Petitto's house on Sunday. On Monday evening we had dinner at my brother's house. We followed the traditional Polish traditions, which like always are interesting but regardless we made it through and continued on to dinner. His wife, Erika made an amazing meal and everything was delicious. Even Derek had the fish that she made, which was so good! Tuesday we were at my parents house all day. It was exciting to have all my nieces and nephews over for the day. We basicly played Guitar Hero almost all day which was so fun! I still can't get enough of this game. OMG. We had a late dinner and then headed over to Pam and Dennis' house in Whippany, where we had dessert. Everything was so good there too! We left kinda early because I wanted to play more Guitar Hero (LOL) and pack up the stuff because we were leaving early in the morning.
New Year's - We spent with Marianne and Tim. We went to Panelli's in West Warwick for dinner and then headed to Providence for First Night. It was really fun! After Providence we headed back to Pawcatuck (Mare and Tim's) and that's where we brought in the New Year and stayed the night. We stayed up a little bit later and then headed off to sleep. In the morning we went to breakfast with them. And that's actually when I started feeling sick. I've basically been sick since that point.
Now it's January 10th and I'm still sick.
Other than all of that we have just been fixing up the house and being homeowners.
Hopefully I will be writing here more often!

First post......

I was told that it would be a good idea for me to have a blog. So, I decided to take advantage of this awesome oppurtunity. I admit I have missed writing stuff down. I haven't kept a journal for almost a year now, I think the last time was before we moved out of Derek's parents house. I used to write in it everyday before we moved to Rhode Island but I think that after we moved here I got busy with a lot of things and I stopped writing. Oh well. I'm glad that I can write things down here. I'm gonna try and write something everyday or as often as possible.

Derek and I watched "Knocked Up" last night and I thought it was very funny. There were a lot of parts that both of us laughed out loud. It was really great. The only thing that bothered me severely was the crazy graphic shots the woman giving birth. I think that for a comedy in the year 2007 there is no need to have to show that act of child birth. Alrighty....enough about that. Maybe I will write more later tonight or tomorrow.
